About
Born and raised in Western New York, Chlovia (b. 1997) is a painter and farmer whose work is shaped by a connection to the land and everyday objects. For over a decade, she has worked on her family’s organic farm, where the practice of growing food has trained her eye to notice subtle shifts and patterns all around us, and the quiet beauty of overlooked details.
Her paintings explore the intersection of color, texture, and form, drawing inspiration from the novelty of growing vegetables, the objects of daily life, and the unexpected harmonies found in the mundane. Whether through vibrant color pallets or exploration of patterns, her work transforms the familiar into something new, revealing the poetic in the practical.
Chlovia holds a BFA in Painting from SUNY Brockport (2020) and currently lives and works in Rochester New York, balancing her time between painting, farming, and continuously expanding her creative practice.
